Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains what information is collected when you visit differential-equations.com (the "site").
Information we collect
The site does not require an account and does not ask for personal information. The interactive solvers and quizzes run entirely in your browser; the equations you type are not sent to our servers. Your light/dark display preference may be stored in your browser's local storage.
Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time) for security and to keep the site running.
Cookies and tracking
The site shows no advertisements and sets no cookies. To know how many people use the site, each page view is counted anonymously: we record the page address, the visitor's country (as reported by the hosting provider) and a one-way hashed identifier used only to estimate the number of unique visitors. IP addresses are not stored, the identifier cannot be traced back to a person, and no data is shared with third parties.
Third-party services
Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. When your browser downloads them, Google receives your IP address and standard browser information; see the Google Privacy Policy. The site is served by a hosting provider that may keep standard server logs, as described above.
Children
The site is intended for university students and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
